TPI Serp setup on LT1

Has anyone used a third gen sertantine setup on an LT1?

I currently have a '92 serp setup with A/C and air pump delete pulleys. I know with the LT1 you would also not need the the water pump pulley. So now you're left with the crank, alt, p/s, an tensioner, and the delete pulleys if required to get a good routing.

Reason for my thinking is I would rather use the third gen p/s pump over the 4th gen one that I know have issues at high RPM's.

First, they dont bolt on

Second, get a smaller pulley if the pump gets spun too high

No, the brackets wont fit without a TON of cutting. then you have the LT1 water pump in the way issue.

I made the D.side sept. bracket work on my LT1. but just for a spacer for my novi 2000 supercharger bracket/build.

The novi came off a TPI setup and was made to fit with stock Accessories. instead of making a new bracket n spacers , etc.. I made the Serpt. bracket work for now.

but it would have been to much of a hassle to try and make the serpt. setup work with alignments, etc....

Re: TPI Serp setup on LT1

Darn, thanks guys. I looked at my LT1 on the engine stand and th TPI in the car and there does seem to be quite a difference in the spacing between the block and the belt.

Sucks in that I bought a new alt and p/s within the past two seasons for the TPI, now I'll just have to hope the LT1 alt is good and go buy a Turn One p/s pump.
