1992 Firebird Convertible LT1 swap Questions??
Hello everyone, I have a 92' firebird convertible that currently has a 305 tbi with a 700r4 automatic. Everything is all stock, but has 177,000 miles on it and is getting tired. So I've been kickin the idea around of getting an LT1 out of 93-97 camaro/firebird, but I was wondering what type of mods I would have to do to make it work. Where do I mount the computer and is there and any motor mount mods I need to know about or anyhing? Also my car is a converible and was wondering if my car would hold up to the power of an LT1? Is it possible to use my current 700r4 trans or get the automatic that is meant for the LT1? Just any info would be greatly appreciated guys and thank you.
