I have a 1995' LT1 out of a 9C1 Caprice cop car pkg.... that I am swapping into my 1989 RS Camaro. I was just wondering if the factory headers will work....the set up has a dual cat/02 sensor setup...Others have told me that I just need a custom Y-pipe and these headers will work. However I know that I have to run ALL the factory smog equipment from the caprice LT1 to make it smog legal. Anyone running or know of a way to run the dual exhaust setup...dual cats w/ 02 sensors and make it fit....? If I have to cut/weld/custom fabricate to make the dual cats/02 sensors work I will. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

 

A 3rd gen dual cat exhaust system will bolt on directly no problem. Down side is it's really small and restrictive

Any exhaust from the LT1 car will not directly fit the 3rd gen. Any sort of dual setup with a performance and Cali compliant intention will have to be 100% custom
