First, read through the sticky. It gives the basics.
If you don't have the money to buy the parts, your only choice is to fabricate. Do you have cutting and welding equipment? Metal stock from which to make these parts?
For AC, you can fabricate brackets to mount the 3rd gen AC compressor on the LS1. If you have the cutting and welding equipment and metal stock.
If you don't have cutting and welding equipment and metal stock, your only choices are to pay for swap parts or for someone to fabricate stuff for you. Bottom line is LS1 ain't a cheap swap. Sure is nice when it's done, but there's no cheap way around it.

these swaps are not cheap by any means. I'm taking my time and waiting for deals, but its still going to cost a few thousand to get everything going. if you skimp now, you're going to regret it later.
cheap route means modifying your own harness to get it connected up, grabbing the 1" setback plates, and notching the rear of your kmember for clearance. exhaust will have to be custom no matter what you do, and trans cross member needs to be modified.
don't forget brings your fuel system up to snuff, beefing up the rear (or swapping it), and doing some brake upgrades to bring yourself to a stop more safely.
