Temp gauge isnt working.

I swapped this lq4 into my 85 trans am. I used the stock lq4 sending unit on the drivers side head. I extended the wires from what i thought was the temp gauge sending unit plug for the trans am. Plugged it in and drove the car around but temp gauge didnt work.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tim

The LS temp gauge doesn't work the same way as the 3rd gen gauge does. You either need to add a sending unit in another port, or get a sender that outputs both signals.

Adding a "regular" port:

Re: Temp gauge isnt working.

Isnīt the CTS from the -97 Corvette LS1 supposed to work correctly with "our" LS engine swaps into third gens with stock gauges?
I bought one from Hawks thatīs supposed to work with no mods, but I could be off on this one. My engine isnīt connected yet so I canīt tell for sure, yet....
