LT1 iorn heads

lookin for a little advise i got a carberated lt1 out of roadmaster and im wondering how much lift i can go before i need to machine the heads. if any one has any sudgested set ups i was thinking a comp cams xr270 with 1.6 rockers but dont know if it will clear.

If the cast LT1 heads are like the alum ones you can just change to a beehive spring for more lift without
machining

Why?

If you have to pull the cam out why not put back in a cam that gives the valve lift you want with 1.5 rockers ??????
1.6 rockers are for guys who don't want to open their engines up

ignore my ignorance but how would the behive spings allow me to get more lift? do they have like a smaller installed hight? how far could i go before they bottom and as for the 1.6 rockers i donno some one metioned it but now that i think about it your rite
