What parts should I take?
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about getting to work this weekend on one car or the other. Probably the 4th gen so I can get it up for sale/parts and out of the way. IDK...still up in the air. My first thought is to tear down the 83 and keep the 6.0l safe and sound in the other car. We'll see.
Anyway either way I go, I was wondering what all parts would you guys suggest I "harvest" from the 4th gen besides the usual motor, trans, harness, computer? Just to let the nerdy cat out of the bag, I'm another one of those knight rider dorks
so I dont need anything interior wise like dash, seats, etc... I mean like I've got my conversion planned, and already have all the parts to do the exterior. I figured though it would be better to get the
part done, instead of painting it and having a pretty garage ornament. My 83 already has rear disks and if I remember right its stamped on the axle 3:23 so I dont think I need the rear either, especially since I'm going to run the stock turbocasts. Again, IDK for sure though, what do you guys think? I wanted to get everyones
on what to get before I sell/part the 4th gen and I'm banging my forhead going DOH!
Thanks!

Sounds like you already have it mostly figured out. I dont think the LS front brakes will fit with the turbocasts. Basically the motor, trans, wiring harness, radiator, condensor, and ecm will be all you will need. I might have someone here in town who would want to buy the seats off of you, depending on color/condition.
