Clutch Question: LSx & T-56 into 1985 Z28

I'm thinking about putting an LSx and T56 into my Z28. I already did a 350 with the "retrofit" T56, so I used the stock clutch.

How should I go about this next swap? Is it possible to use my "retrofit" T56 w/ the T5 Bellhousing?

Is the LSx clutch different than SBC?

I've been looking for information on this, but everything is very contradictory from website to website.

Im sure someone else will chime in with a hard yes or no to this but Im fairly sure that the retro t56 stuff is not compatible with the lsx.I believe bellhousing, cluth type being pull vs push hydraulics, and input shafts are all different and would need to be converted.

I dont think it will work. I think your going to need an LS input shaft, clutch, and the LS bellhousing. The LS motors use a hydraulic throwout bearing instead of a clutch fork.

Bellhousing and input shaft length are different. For the hassle to convert it you might as well sell the one you have and buy an LSx type T56 (that's what I did).
