LS1 Swap Wiring Questions
I am putting a LS1 into my 91 rs I am using a 91 harness that I have cut down to what I need. The car is going to be carberated so NO ECM
1 From what I have gathered all I need to do for the alternator is wire in a 500 ohm resister in the brown wire and that will have the alternator good to go
2 For the temp sensor, the stock third gen sensor is a one wire sensor were the ls1 sensor is a 2 wire. Needing a little direction on this part. As to if I should use the third gen sensor or how to wire the LS1 sensor

Re: LS1 Swap Wiring Questions
I have read through most of those but most of it is for fuel injection set ups i am running carberated so no ls harness. i am wanting to find out if i can just tap into the ls style sensor
Re: LS1 Swap Wiring Questions
3 wire CTS, yes, 2 wire CTS, no. Pinout in the additional info thread. Alternatively you can drill/tap the LSx cyl heads for a 3/8 NPT sender or cut the stock sender down to the LSx 12 x 1.5mm threads
I doubt 30 ohms will make any difference but the proper resistor is 470 ohm for the alt
