lt1 in my 91 z28 chocks when i hit the gas

hi guys i am having a problem with my 96 lt1 thats in my 91 z. the car idles nice but when i give it gas it chocks like a carberated motor would do. if i am at complete stop and when i take off it chocks but after that its fine need some help please thanks

the engine it had in it was a 305 tpi but it still has the same fuel pump. the regulator is the stock one that came with the lt1 motor. i was told that the opti spark might not be set right havent checked that.
