looking for some lt1 info

i just stumbled upon a deal ( i think) on craigs list

$850 for a 94 buick roadmaster with lt1 & 4l60e but has "electrical woes".

i know this isn't gonna be some high performing variant due to being in a grocery getter car,at least thats what i m thinking.(not to knock b bodies. i like their 80's variants on wires or a clean set of 18's). I m just having trouble finding specs on a lt1 outside of being in a vette or f-body.if i buy it i plan on swapping the drivetrain into my 82 buick regal(don't bash me for that.i want my regal to be able to keep up with my camaro). i just want to know if it would be worth to buy and swap in and slowly build it up.

t.i.a.

Re: looking for some lt1 info

the big differance between that motor and the camaro lt1 is the heads and the cam. if you want to make some power with a stock block, go to Advanced inductions. They have head and cam packages that make a lot of power on a stock block.

There is a lot of talk that the iron LT1 heads will flow better with basic porting than the aluminum version.

But, the cam & tune will make as much difference between the Vette/f-body & B-body LT1's as anything.

hp salvage says 260 HP 330 TQ for the caprice. I'm not sure if that's the police package or not
