LS Swap measurement

Can some people that have done LS swaps post a measurement for me? I am wondering what you are getting from the number 8 intake runner, top, to the bottom edge of the cowl. I have no rear or transmission crossmember in the car right now as I am working on a project in the rear, but I need a ballpark so I know approximately what the engine angle should be.

Re: LS Swap measurement

im pretty sure there will be a slight variance in measurements from diff. members due to manufacturing defects/imperfections in the aftermarket mounts along with different ones being used like Spohn vs SBC plates.

Re: LS Swap measurement

I can get a measurement of mine but im using welded solid mounts to the K member moved back a couple inches so I didnt have to notch the K Member at all. Up to you if that will work for you or not

I am not too concerned about slight differences. I need a ballpark as the engine mounts are just resting on the crossmember and I dont have a trans crossmember so I need to know how far to jack the trans up so I can start figureing stuff out. I am doing WAAAY more than an LS swap, but I have no initial reference because my car had no engine or trans really. I can figure out my driveline angles, but when I am measuring stuff for the rear and the front of the car I can use this estimate to check stuff. I may be moving the engine slightly forward or rearward too and if I have something to reference I can be close to what I need

If you are at a height close to the Spohn or other mounts that could be good enough, thanks
