Sensors and Fuel???????

Two questions:
What other sensors do I need for my LSX swap? Here is the list that I have. Just making sure that I'm not missing anything (which I probably am)
Intake Air Temp
Mass Air
Cam Sensor
Crank Sensor
Coolant Temp Sensor
TPS
IAC Sensor

Second question
Am I able to use my stock 3rd gen gas tank? What do I need to change in order to keep it, or am I better off getting a 4th gen tank?

If you're buying a complete donor car, or a complete drop-out, it'll have the sensors you need. The only ones not directly on the engine are the MAF and IAT.

That is assuming you aren't using the 4th gen tank with its emissions sensors. To use a 3rd gen tank, you need a capable pump (a TPI pump in good condition will do), and a pressure regulator (the Vette filter with built-in return is a popular option), and delete the emissions from the PCM (like fuel level, fuel tank pressure, etc.).

Re: Sensors and Fuel???????

Thanks for the info. Wish I did have a donor car or complete motor, but I've started with an LQ9 short block.
I've been reading a few posts on here about the tank and I feel that by using the stock
3rd gen tank with a vette filter is the easiest and most sensible way to go at this point. I replaced the fuel pump a few years ago and have only put a few hundred miles on the car since then.

What about getting the fuel gauge to work properly?

Re: Sensors and Fuel???????

if you're using the stock tank and sending unit, the fuel gauge should work without issue, as you're reusing your old sending unit.

Dont forget about knock sensors if they are not with the engine. if its a complete engine and the intake manifold is on it then i would guess the knock sensors are there.
