Lt1 rev limiter help

So i have accidentally hit the rev limiter a few times switching myself, all is good but today i laid into it hard from 2nd gear and my tach went up to 7k until i happened to look down and nothing! I backed off real quick. So wtf is up with this pcm? Rev limit worked before when my tach sain 6k it would cut off fuel, now it was a little past 7k and sounding like a goddamn Ferrari My tach was bang on before, and tbh it sounded like if i would have held on any longer it would have spun a main that's how high pitched it sounded.

Re: Lt1 rev limiter help

I have did some research on Google and ls1tech and ls1lt1 and what i came up with is my tach is off by a **** load-> (to much faith in old tech to much Maryjane for one day), I didn't find one case of the rev limit to suddenly disappear unless tuned out, so im blaming it on the 22 year old 305tbi tach, accurate to about 3500 rpm then falls on it's face.

Off topic but before my swap i had the ole 305 63,000 miles burry the tach all the time just trying to blow it up for a few ***** and giggles, but never did it kept chugging along. I really hope this whole situation isn't bad Karma. cheers

How about not driving like a pissed off teenager? Your bottom end will thank you

The rev limiter is a last ditch safety, not a shift point

I never intentionally bang off the rev limiter but **** happens. I put alot of time into this swap and want it to last until i can do an ls1 build. Pocket There's no need for your shiit know it all sarcasm.
