Ls1 tank straps
Ls1 tank straps
I attempted to install my ls1 plastic tank and it seems my straps werent long enough? anybody use different straps or have any ideas? it was for sure high enough just about an inch away from being able to bolt it

Mine where the same way. I was at it for over an hour to get it closer and finally they did work. It takes some effort for sure to get them in there but they will go eventually and the tank has to be in the right spot as well for them to get close. I used the upper panhard bar bolted back in to hold the tank up so it wasnt so bad to get it into position

Mine fit easy. There is a sweet spot where the tank will go up quite high and allow you to bolt the front of the straps easily. I just get directly under the tank and hold/lift it with my forearm while I put in the bolt with the other hand.

My stock straps worked fine aswell. As others have said, you need to find the sweet spot and the tank will move up another inch or so.

Thanks guys I found my problem on of my lines was an inch short and not letting it go up
I got it up now :yah: when you guys mounted the bracket for the fill tube in place how did you find the correct position?
