I'm putting everything from the 4th gen donor (evap,pump,cluster,etc) and want to get the car bar'd. Has anyone else done this? I'm in cali (smog capital), and wondering am I wasting my time running all the wire when it could all be "tuned out" yet still pass visual? Or, just keep it legit and run a 100% compliant swap for my own satisfaction. Thoughts/opinions/personal experiences please.

 

Im in the process right now... no way you will pass without hooking things up and its really not that difficult to do...

 

Well I already did run everything...but I was under the impression with systems tuned out, the smog check computer considers it "ok" and the tech checks for the visuals. Hows your swap coming along?

 

my swaps coming ok Im stuck on getting that damn transmission dipstick in... they actually activate them to check for functionality at least thats what they told me...
