91 Camaro Convertible 355 LT1/700r4 with a Vortech to come this winter

To start with this is my dads car and right now the car is running in NA mode. I originally bought and installed the LT1 in my Camaro way back in 01 and used a Painless harness as back then there were only a few of us that even attempted the swap. Well after about 9 years and 15k I decided I wanted a 6 speed/ls swap so I sold my motor to my dad and his swap began. His plan for the car is a nice driver that runs really well. Here is a picture of the car when he bought it. He bought it off ebay for $6500 from a police officer in New York.

The car had a stock 305 TPI and 700r4 in it. It also had a drum brake rear end with 2.73 gears. It has red leather interior and was in great shape. To actually start the swap I had to remove the motor from my car and put some thicker headgaskets on it.

The block is a 4 bolt main LT1 block that has been bored .030 over and has speed pro pistons and plasma moly rings on stock rods. I ported and polished the heads and it has a XE 230-236 cam in it. The motor made 341 rwhp and 336 rwtq in my car before the thicker headgaskets through an automatic. I went from a .039 Impala gasket to a .066 thick Cometic gasket to bring the compression down a little. He plans to run 6-7 pounds on it. We plan to install the supercharger over the winter. So here is the beginning of it and we have plenty more to come.

Also got the old 305 and automatic out of the car and got ready to put the LT1 in it.

That's a sweet ride. Looks awesome with those stripes painted on too!

So you're going to put in a Vortech supercharged ls1? That's gonna be fun ride when its done.

And how many miles are on the body?
