picked up my LS motor for swap!!!!
on my way to LS power. picked up a 5.3 today for a good price. has the 706 heads, and i am gonna go for the budget swap- so now on to compile parts and pieces and figure out what i need/want. better heads would be nice but just can't justify $1000 for them now. cam, intake of course (not sure yet what i will use here either, ls1 would be low budget).
i also went and pulled a v6 harness, per pocket's advice. will have to acquire an LS harness, as engine didn't come with harness or pcm.
but it's a start!!

I'll have a cadilac escalade harness and PCM for you on friday if you want...
but other than that, look at the first page of my build thread on here, has all the parts i've bought/needed for the swap and their prices

Re: picked up my LS motor for swap!!!!
yes pm me about that, i am in the "build up necessary parts" phase. can't decide if i want to tackle the harness or send them to pocket and pay for the less stressful option- prob try and get him to do it.
i am thinking for now, ls1 or 6 intake with cam. maybe some work on these heads if i can get it done inexpensively. later on put in the 9" rear and then more power if i want. but, this 5.3 will have way more than the ole 305 anyway.
where did you find the "take off" intake and all?

i grabbed my ls1 intake/tb/injectors from the forums at ls1tech. silly cheap over there, but they pop up for a reasonable price on ebay now and again too
