Hey guys, I've decided against the t56 swap for my 370 build and decided to go with a th400. Question is which company sells a good tranny for a decent price? The motor is a iron 370 that will make around 480-500 at the wheels and will see 150 hp hits of nitrous at the track. The car has has a moser 9" and a 4.30 gear with a 28" tire. I would like to use a 4500 rpm stall. I need it to be safe for the track as well. I know the I will need the tci flexplate and maybe the Torque converter spacer that gm sells? Is the CSR tranny cover any good for thrack use. If anyone can give me any guidance I will appreciate it alot.

Ask on tech, they will shoot you in the right direction.
Have you thought of a 4l80e? Can handle a ton of power and pretty cheap through Jakes Performance, get a T brake right away. I have a circle D 4000 stall in my TA and love it.

I'm trying to avoid electronics completely. I want a reverse manual with a brake.
