LSx carb swap questions

Im sure these questions have been answered but ive been searching and cant find a point blank answer any good help would be much apreciated. i have a 1990 rs im building a 5.3 80mm turbo engine, i have chosen to go carb instead of injection for my own reasons injection would be nice on street but im looking 80% track 20% street. my question here is the msd 6010 box for this swap.. is that all that is required? do i need anything to run off of the factory ecm ? i read and understand its plug and play. i have no concerns on any of the factory ecm controls as for my fans they will be manually controlled by me via switches as well as all guages are aftermarket to monitor all critical things going on internally, i am re wiring whole car with just a 8 circuit fuse box basically for lights, horn, alternator, power locks, ign, and starter too obviously.

Re: LSx carb swap questions

there's no need to rewire the rest of the car, as those circuits are completely separate of the ecm harness. if you're going carb, the ecm harness on the passenger side can be complete removed with no cutting required. lights and horn are on the driver side harness and there's another harness on that side for the gauges. Pocket's got a thread or two devoted to stripping down the factory harness to bare essentials, take a read through and save yourself the headache of redoing everything.
