Re: ls swap ?

A "stand alone" harness gets you nothing, a stock LS1 harness is a "Stand alone" harness just as well, the only difference in aftermarket ones is the addition of a fuse block to supply the power to the harness, the thirdgen has a stock fuse block, no sense adding something in that you've already got.

Re: ls swap ?

I understand that, but I suck at wiring so I would have no clue where to begin splicing the lsx harness into the factory one.

Re: ls swap ?

Modding the stock harness is a pain in the rear, but it also depends if you can even take the time and understand the pinouts, test everything and I still added a independent fuse block under hood of the current Ls swap I am working on. Was cheap and will without question only have one place for things to go wrong.

There are folks that mod harnesses for reasonable prices and can have you set to install as well. Many options out there.
