Notching K-member question

Having K-member notched for 1989 Iroc so a/c will mount lower. My question is is it neccesary to reinforce since brace will be eliminated? Thanks Sean.

Re: Notching K-member question

I assume you are talking about the triangle brace that has to be removed when notched? If so, then no. Not all cars received the braces, and no one has ever mentioned there being a structural/handling difference when there braces were removed.
