Please Name Names! Who Can Do An LS Swap For Me
I want to do this build and have it done by Spring next year. Looking for a dependable shop in the Atlanta, Ga area that could handle that. I just don't have the time for trial and error and learning on the fly. Want someone to turnkey this for me.
LS and t56 need to go into car plus some other goodies like big breaks. Surely someone on here knows of a name in Atlanta.

If you expect the shop to also acquire all the parts for an engine, trans, and brake upgrade, expect to spend a large chunk of money (ie $20k or more). Brakes alone could set you back $5k depending on you definition of big brakes and whether or not new wheels and tires will be required after the brake upgrade. If you already have the parts, you can likely find someone willing to do it for a few thousand as it will be several person days worth of labor by the time they are finished.
By far the most cost effective way to do this is at home in your own garage with friends helping to turn the wrenches. I'm planning to do one in the last 2 weeks of December this year using the friends with talents model for the labor but I still expect to be out close to $6k for parts before it's done.

Really..there isnt much to research because its been done so many times on here for your car that all questioned have been answered repeatedly.if you have your own shop and the tools..do it with friends.I did my swap in a full week by following swaps guides on here and bought the parts I needed before hand.Went from 383 hsr/700R4 to ls1/t56.Pulled in monday morning..left the following monday because the shop is closed on a sunday.I fought for 2 days chasing down my main ignition wire was on the second ignition..not hot during crank...doh.Lol all joking aside..the swap is pretty easy and doesnt take long. What takes the most time are the little details..like a/c,running the harness neatly, fuel fittings, wiring the inside of the car.Bolting things in and mounting the engine/trans takes no time.get er done..save the cash and spend it on better suspension/brakes.
Majority of the time spent for me was just having friends distract me when there wasnt heavly lifting or lining things up for mock up.The advantage of doing it yourself..you know where/how everything is done incase there is a problem.

If you are willing to ship, I would be happy to take it on. I will be out of the shop for the cup race until Monday, Tuesday if rain delay.

Gene Jones Racing in La Habra California. He's got four thirdgen's I think right now getting an Ls of some sort. One's a built 427 with twin turbos (scary monster), my rather tame 500hp LS3 (auto), then a not so tame 650hp LS3 (T56) and another straight LS1 I believe.
All but one are So Cal based.
