budget 11:1 355 w/LE1 heads..what piston??
Im in the middle of rebuilding my LT1 and having trouble narrowing down what pistons to go with,..a little background:.. im having my stock LT1 bored .030 over to a 355,im also sending my heads to lloyd elliot to have the LE1 head work done, and i figured what the heck, i gotta buy new pistons anyway, might as well up the compression ratio to 11:1..i have searched and searched and can not find a piston that i feel would net me the 11:1 compression ratio im lookin for,i also occasionally spray it with a 100-150 shot of nitrous, with all that said ,what pistons should i buy?,can anybody help a guy out? with a part# or maybe some specs to point me in the right direction?any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

A typical flat top with 5 cc valve reliefs give 10.3 with 64 cc heads. Your lt1's should be near 56 after lloyd ports and cleans the deck up abit, if he still mills that much. That should get you up to 11 to one.
Using stock 5.7" rods? Then buy a good forged flat top like srp or probe or je

Never heard of them and at that price i expected to see 4 pistons but its a set of 8. I would stay away. Sounds chinese or something being that cheap. Good forged pistons are usually 500-700.
Also i believe you want a 2618 alloy. There is a 4032 alloy thats more brittle due to higher silicone content, that wouldnt be as good with spray. You wanna be alittle more forgiving when that shot hits the chamber.

I would use something like an SRP flat top if you are staying moderate on the spray, or the JE if you are spraying heavy.
The alloys mentioned above correspond to the prime difference between the SRP & the JE, with the JE being the 2618.
I put over 650 to the wheels on a few LT1 builds with the SRP pistons, but that in my opinion is getting close to their strength limit.
With a near-zero decked block & LT4 gasket, 11:1 is easy to get with a slight trim off the heads.

Mine was a 9.5:1 383 w/ 16# boost.
Still have the pistons (for 6" rod) if someone wants a set cheap.
