Block Sent off too Shop New Cam Bearings and Resizing Rids and ARP Rod bolts with Resized Rods Bearing

p.s. yes you can resize stock rod caps and is the correct way to put ARP Rod bolts you will need new Rod bearings installed also Revving with no fear lol

I would of just sutured up myself "FMF Corpsman is my Profession" but right arm got cut and then left pointer finger got slashed wouldnt of been easy to handle needle driver and adsons lmao oh well

it actually looks worse in person lol couldnt get a real good pic and i makes it look smaller than it is .. i walk up to the ER and was like i can suture myself i just need some lidocaine they laugh and told me to sitdown

i actually didnt feel anythig till i started to feel sumthing drip down my arm and then didnt notice my finger till i took of my glove


on another not what can i do to clean oil galleys and coolant passages ?

Little update : not much tho got ahold of LS6 intake

should get block from machine shop in a couple of days like stated above
Resized for ARP rods and new cam bearing etc etc

so engine stuff is pretty much taking care of besides all new gaskets and EPS Cam

about to take on upgrading trans with shift kit etc using 4l60E upgrade kit from 700r4l60e.com should be more than enough too handle my needs comtemplating on just doing shift kit and beast sunshell idk tho trans is just rebuilt with only 5k miles

also working on other projects also while engine is out etc like brakes and cleaning up engine bay

slow build but making sure have a good combo and attention to the small details

hardest thing i have to deal with is choosing the color to paint intake and brembo brakes lol very hard decision

got the ls1 fuel injectors flow match and cleaned and made them flow 42lbs by
fuelinjectorconnection.com

Quick turn around time and they provide the tune data for the injectors also which makes tuning alot easier then starting from scratch

side project im working on is 14" Brembo Brakes and clearance my wheels Varrstoen ES2 might make a thread on the wheels after mocking up brakes and final assembley but everything clears and WOW they look nice im loving these wheels more and more

Hopfully can get everything up by summer and i so cant wait its killing me

No. alot of places wasnt open .thanks for asking tho .Yea I just took it too my metal guy here in San Diego .. I was in Los Angeles modifying my spindle then my drill went to Tool Heaven .so I just got fed up and weekend was a waste

Everything mock up and ready I just did a third mock up just now and made sure I had Clearance with wheel again

i thought it would be harder to do but not really i let soak in vinegar overnight then i used a wire brush and rust actually comes off pretty easy

i should of just used a tall bucket and it would if been easier

Thanks im trying .. alot of work and time. in the details . kinda wishing too just throw engine together and throw it with all the other little side projects . instead of making it look nice.. still got to paint the engine bay .. and 3 welders flake on me to weld up my a/c notch .this weekend . hoping to be done by july

goal is summer time frame maybe earlier if all goes smooth still have new shocks and 4th gen seats to put in also i didnt think i had collected so much lol

all i have left is wiring , final assembly of engine, still need to upgrade trans i would just throw it in there and speed things up ..only has 5k since rebuild but i rather do some upgrades now.. but doesnt feel right throwing it in

Sweet man i live in an apartment currently and this opened the notion of doing some work in my apartment lol but the miss already gives me a hard time about tools all over the living room lol

Its doable as long the misses is ok with it

i have a 2 bedroom and the 2nd one is mines lol

i do most of the work in the parking lot... no garage .. lets just say manager isnt to happy with me .. but hasnt given up trying to talk to me so i won that battle

my wife got more mad at me spray painting and using the oven to cure the paint then anything else

i used a large plastic tarp to keep the floor clean but majority of stuff i cleaned out side than bring it in

ill say keep it organized and clean and take her out to dinner or shopping helps .. but my wife is pretty cool and understands ..she also spent her share of $$ to help me buy parts also

but it is doable kinda crazy and out there but it is possible and hoping to have some pretty stout numbers also

i wish i had garage tho but i like to live close too base and im in the city but im pcsing too new duty station end of oct and might get a garage been looking for a house also but where i want a house is about 2 hour drive i wouldnt want to do that daily lol

Yeah shes pretty cool with it, for the most part other than when i leave half my tool box out but thats just my negligence lol but next place i will have a garage even if its in an apartment most of the work i do is in the parking lot as well good thing the leasing office closes early so when i work on my car they are usually gone lol

sprayed the disk rotors so i dont get ugly rust on the hat

i find myself still not happy with the results going to do a light sand to smooth everthing out

put another coat of underbody spary to wheel wheels also

ac box and wiper motor cover and brake booster are going to get hydrograhics by myself still have to buy the kit it will match the intake to include radiator support

strut towers will be white

4th gen Overflow resivor and windshield wiper bottle will be going in and bye bye to the old ones

starting to look like home for the engine

my color scheme om going for is to balance out the look and make it uniformed idk if im explain it right but theres alot going on and makes it look confusion and cluttered and buy painting some parts body color gives that part less attention
maybe im just looking into it too deeply lol

overspary will be corrected as i havent work on k member yet that needs to be clean and painted

i also scored a torsen posi at the junk yard yesterday i had gut feeling telling me to go and i was going to get lucky so i went and seen a ss camaro new arrival i waited there for 4+ hours or so it was a new car they brought in 99 ss to bad engine interior was already gone lol i had to hide it tho waiting till the 24th 50% off so torsen posi for 40 bucks cant beat that

spent another 5 hours talking to a uy blind an one eye who built engines for professional drag racing back in the 1970s and 60s he personally knew William Tyler Jenkins "Grumpy" or "The Grump" and was telling me all his stories he is a master tools man idk if i sai it right .he has a twin borther he said im trying to search who he is . no education and he a engineer did some stuff for the space program also .. man that guy was the smartest guy ive ever talk to .with very funny sense of humor. he was showing me pics of all ther custome stuff he did. he also help built custom cars that go to well known car show in cali like goodguys etc some got futured in maagzines .. guy was defiantly in a different league even at his old age

Far from done tho.. for quick moment i thought if this is all worth it ?.. all the small details. instead of just throwing everything on as is .. its funny original plans was just to clean engine up and throw it in .. i wasnt planing brake upgrade or changing wheels or even painting engine bay .. i guess time will tell when i turn on key and spin those tires ..

also after painting engine bay .. it makes my exterior paint look like crap ..going to get paint sooner than later will see .. going to see what military housing has to offer ugh .. hopfully i have room to paint lol

I would just get a new one, i had a case one time where i pulled it off and the heat started to hurt the paint. Dont know if it was just crappy paint or what...

Thoughts on 3/8 th pushrod on stock 243 heads there a bit stiffer and stronger than 5/16 th and better at higher rpm seen some where its a 50 % difference

im getting mix info on it

but for the most part all push rods 5/16th are created equal as in not one stronger than the other

i know its small detail but would like strongest pushrod and avoid drama at higher rpm

not sure due to the fact i havent spec cam yet im actually in process of re specing it due to some tweaks in my setup adding ls6 intake and better flowing exhuast .. and to take advantage of that the cam is the last thing im buying

im kinda building entire setup then buy cam last kinda backwords as most people ive see buy cam then do supporting mods then usally upgrade to bigger cam due to supporting mods which seems backwords lol

but im also thinking about future upgrades and plans also so i dont like redoing stuff over again and if i dont do upgrades then and im really hard on my toys so i also keep that in mind also,

i think i would be fine with 5/16th tho just thought i ask
