Easy part upgrading some vital parts in trans
Quick run down I got ls1 upgrade kit and beast sunshell from PBA aka probuilt have dual cage sprag also unsure if they upgraded it or not
trans only had 5000 miles since stock rebuilt and as expected no surprises internals look amazing , finish up trans tommorrow

Yea almost done , Ive been trucking along since I PCS to my new command have alot more time to work in her vs having no time at all at the hospital she been sitting way to long, im anxious to drive her already with all the upgrades especially the brakes

I sent it to ls1customtune , the only reason I got mail order is because I got 42lb injectors and FIC sent tune data for them so just needed to be uploaded to PCM , and so i can break in engine, but I will be going to get a full dyno tune

As for the tranny at first I thought it was overwhelming but I slap my self and jump in , but its actually really really easy and not that bad there's not that many moving parts, hardest part for me was removing the snap rings on the input drum shaft .

i drove my build for 2500 miles on a frost tune before she saw the rollers. you should be good to go!

i hear ya on the slap and go approach. it's kind of like rebuilding a q-jet carb, just get after it.

Was your mail order far off from dyno tune , maybe I'm being overly cautious but Im little worried about stepping on it and risk some bad stuff , but I do want to give a good break in before the dyno is another worry also , the cam isnt that crazy its 228/230 112lsa intake/exhuast is like .603 so its pretty mild seen 228r cams run on stock tune decently and drive on it for awhile before tune

q jet carb that would need a slap lol and a getter done

mine was rich, i was worried about washing the cylinders down, but apparently it wasn't that far off. i treated it like a borrowed mule on more than one occasion and she held together. i didn't see any numbers before he did the street tune(it wasn't put on the rollers), but i bet it was over 30hp down. we picked up 20-25hp working it out on the dyno. driveability was much better after the dyno session, it was a whole new animal. my cam is a 230/232 so you should be ok!

Installed prothane motor mounts which took couple hours , but accomplised alot , check clearance for torque converter was about .187 so used one washer then bolted torque converter down



front ride looks decent should settle some abit


Could really use a nice wash and polish lol

Yea I think it's 20 or 30 something for front and rear I'm not sure exactly

I'm running custom adapters front is about 1/2 inch rear is a little under 1"

I'm most then likely going to go 10.5 width up front instead of 9.5 now just trying to get up and running

Made some progress not much done , installed 4th gen brake booster, trottle cable, headers, bolted trans and cross member, installed drive shaft, ran fuel line , install walbro fuel pump, and some other lose ends

Dont think im going to run a/c , so insearch of ac delete box

I have the replacment part for the wiper motor that I broke lol

My milk bucket is in need of a serious car detail

So project is back from the dead !!!

With many upgrades and finishing pieces to the puzzle awaiting in many brown boxes !!!

So working up for deployment and being currently deployed in afgan. With the good ol marines time flys by so quick idk if you guys seen the news but closing down and allowing afgan do there own thing ,but been pretty cool to be apart of.. and cant wait to come home very shortly .

A lot of research and other forums and chatted with ground control cool guy and running pro kit and sportlines and driving other thirdgen with cut springs with front spring rate around mid to 700 to 800

Wrong that includes shock struts

Sorry no pics yet but forgot to take pics manage to get sfc installed and harness on couldnt start as starter tab is broke and starter just grinds do to improper alignment so dont want to run risk of damaging flex and starter even tho i would love to start engine
Tried to install alston but theres clearance issues with cross member

Still need to install STB and front GC

I can see we have the same idea on colours for the fuel rail and valve covers lol.
I used the VHT high heat paint for mine.

Yea me too yea im going to redo them tho i chip some of it from tools ,but thinking of getting eldebrock coil cover and smoothing it out and paint it gold

End goal is to repaint body a satin pearl white with the black gold accents

Well had little scare and was second guessing if i put oil barbell and front oil galley plug

Was cranking with out plug and fuel and was getting no oil pressure was cranking for about 10 sec about 15 times was doing 5sec crank yesterday about 10 times no oil pressure so pulled dash apart , pulled valve covers etc was about to pull pulley off and drop trans

So after being frustrated and installing GC, clean garage up and wax the caddi and removing crossmember to prep for cutting

i try and crank again and i seen the oil psi jump up to about 30 ish while cranking , what a relief lol
