flipped manifold single turbo builds

Looking to see what manifolds you have used to keep the stock gear box location and still run a single setup. Wasn't looking for the facing "up" style builds but the forward and downward manifold setups like 4th gen guys do. Would like to leave the alternator in the stock location if possible as well.

Are v-bands a must as well? Looking for pics too.

I've tried manifolds from my truck L33, F-body manifolds, C5 and C6 manifolds, CTS-V LSA manifolds, and 5th gen shorty headers. NONE will work. You either have to flip them upside down or go with a custom set of headers or log manifolds.

Buy a flange and some exhaust pipe, make a very simple log. 600-700 whp easily for few bucks. I am talking stub outs 90 deg into a 2.5" log section and a cap on other side. Lol simple and cheap as it gets but can work well for medium power goals. Can expand on that design by 45'ing into the log and bringing last cylinder into rear to greatly reduce turbulence and reduce backpressure. Still cheap to fab.

Vbands make it nice to hook things up and seal

Re: flipped manifold single turbo builds

build a set of logs and they clear everything 2 flanges 40 bucks summit, 8 90* weld els about 50-60 bucks , and 2 pieces of 2.25 or 2.5 inch pipe for the top of the logs .

from there u can add in a pair of v band flanges or 3 bolt header flanges

cheap and easy logs that will support around 1000 hp

i went this route on my iroc but instea dof putting flanges on them i capped both ends and put turbo flanges on the top of the logs for my tein turbo setup
