Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.27
Want to swap in 5.3L
I own an '05 Sierra with the 5.3L Vortech. After milling over my budget and taking into consideration that I'm purchasing a 5th gen here shortly, I decided I would drop this engine in as a replacement for my inefficient 5.7 TPI as I like the MPG and performance of the 5.3L Vortech. Will be bolting it to a t56. Not sure out of what donor yet.
Need to know what parts are needed and any tips. Maybe just point me to an old thread. My search results pulled up mostly mods and no real info on a swap.
