Found a used swap harness for sale. Was pulled from a 89 TA running a 5.3 and a t56. Was wired for ac and is wired for a 5 wire maf. My car is a 91 camaro so should everything just plug in and go? Harness comes with the maf for $400. Was going to do my own just figures this saves me the headache of doing it plus I can sell my ls1 and factory harness. Good idea yes or no?

 

This will not be a plug and play swap harness for you. If you find a used harness, it would have needed to been built for a 90-92 car.

 

I have a painless harness for a manual and ECU for sale also a truck harness thats repined with a fuse block for easy power ground hookup with ecu tuned for a 5.3 4l60e with vats egr delete already for sale also

850 for the painless setup and ecu (never installed brand new)
550 for the truck harness and ecu

 

This is good to know, didn't know if since it was from a TA if it would work, since they has electronic speedo's already. Not sure what else the differences are but I will pass on the harness then. Guess I'll have to do just do my own.

 

The wire pin locations at the firewall bulkhead connector, and the C207 near the factory PCM are different on the 89, compared to the 90-92 harness'. Although they will plug in, the wire positions in the plugs are very different, and will not function properly at all.

 

Called him and told him I couldn't use it. Will attempt to build my own I guess.

 

Could repin it to 89 style

No different than the SD TPI conversions into older TPI cars
