LT1 w/ 700r4 Question

I picked up an 86 Camaro around Valentine's Day and had the motor seize and launch #1 cyl, a rod and a few caps while driving home. I bought an LT1 w/ harness (not including the dash hookups strangely) and ECM to swap into it, replacing the LG4. Near the end of the swap but am missing a couple parts.

First, it has a mechanical speedometer on the 700r4 and am wondering if it's worth the effort to convert it to digital so I can use the LT1 cluster. My Dad and I have put in a lot of hours and are ok with putting in more.

Second, the TCC was unplugged and no wiring found. I am ordering the kit from Bowtie to hook it up, as well as a 3-way switch for manual/auto/unlock but there's a possibility that the solenoid could be stuck. Hard to replace?

Last, I am also concerned if there will be issues with using the existing 700r4 instead of an 4L60E as far as the PCM is concerned, like the car not starting or killing the engine due to not being able to communicate with the transmission. If so, is there a solution for this? Not sure I like the idea of deleting the transmission code should I choose to upgrade to a T56 later on. Also are the PCM's programmed for both the 4L60E and the T56?

Thanks!

*EDIT* Also I can't seem to find the TV cable a few posts here referenced for this swap. Is this and the accelerator cable available online or do I need to visit a local shop?
