LT1 water pump - blocking off heater lines
My heater core started leaking on my lt1 swap. Anyone ever block off the water pump outlet fittings for it? what did you use and did it have any negative side affects? I dont want it to mess up the circulation somehow. I know it shouldn't but figured I would ask.

I have blocked off mine with rubber caps and hose clamps. The rubber caps start to dry rot after a while and leak. Im looking for a better way to do it myself.

Thats exactly what I'm dealing with. The rubber caps keep cracking, so I hook the heater core back up and it leaks.. So I'm trying to figure out how to cap them so it will last. I guess I could just bite the bullet and buy a new heater cor and install the water valve like its supposed to be.

What the LS guys do is get a hose with a 180 degree bend in it, and hook it up to both heater core ends on the waterpump. That way it keeps circulating.
Only downfall to no heater core, is no heat.
