Y-pipe with Spohn crossmember
Y-pipe with Spohn crossmember
I am doing an LS3/T56 swap. Everything is coming along nicely. I just bought some Hawks 1-3/4 headers with 3" slip fit connectors. Also bought the hawks y-pipe and slp loud mouth 1 exhaust for an ls1 4th gen.
Headers bolted up perfect with no fitment issues at all. Y-pipe on the other hand, I am not sure how I can even make that fit with the Spohn crossmember.
Is it even possible or do I need the hawks crossmember?
I've also read that the hawks double hump crossmember doesn't fit as well as the Spohn unit.
What should I do?
Should I just get a y-pipe built using parts from the hawks y-pipe?
Even with the hawks crossmember, will the y-pipe fit or would it still gimme issues?
Car is gonna be lowered slightly on modded sportlines, and eventually (hopefully next winter) it will get air ride.
