I'm bringing this thread back from the dead. I'm trying to do exactly what you did with the stock pedal and lokar throttle cable. Did you actually bolt the peace to the grommet that goes into the firewall? I'm also curious as to how you get the plastic pedal peice to go onto the new cable.

You cut the cable sleeve off the bulkhead part of the original cable, ream the hole so the threaded part of the Lokar cable sleeve will screw in, then screw it in to the original piece. Qwiktrip documented that thoroughly in his build. The plastic clip that goes on the pedal just slides on the Lokar cable
