what do you guys think of this deal

recently bought an 87 Camaro for a lt1 or ls1 swap. came across a lt1 block bored .030 over with new pistons rings and all. guy is offering me that plus a stock block w/pistons crank and all for 400. figured I can turn around and sell the stock block so wouldn't be a bad deal as long as everything looks good. said block was fresh.

As an engine alone deal I'd pass and drop the $400 on a 4.8 or 5.3 LS engine. Depending on where you pick one up (pick ur own part $80-100 or direct salvage yard $200-500) you could have $ left over for F-body car accessories.

Id grab the whole car, not a shortblock when starting from nothing. Piecing together the cheapest part of the swap (the engine) is a long and expensive road
