93 lt1 into 87rs

hey been looking around the site and had a few questions. I found a complete lt1 car for 1200 on craigslist, with t-56 and body damage so was gonna pick it up for my swap. question is how much difference is there between to computers on 93-94 and up. I know instead of flashing you would tune with chip. seeing if it will be worth it in the long run

93 is a completely different animal, most similar to the SD TPI corvettes

94-95 is the ideal system for swaps. Inexpensive tuning software, common, easy interchange

96-97 is OBDII. Nothing really negative about the system aside from cost of tuning software. A 94-95 PCM can be used on a 96-97 harness without any mods, but no the reverse

You can use ANY system on ANY LT1 by changing a few minor parts

Id buy the 4th gen even if you abort the swap. Parting it out will yield a profit

So if I understand you correctly pocket I could buy a 96 97 harness and pcm and few parts and could work with 93 motor? I only saying 93 right now because of the deal, can't beat a drivable lt1 with t56 for 1200

Yeah, a 96-96 timing cover is required for the OBDII PCM because of the crank sensor

Why not use a 94-95 system and run the 93 engine as-is?
