I currently own a 01 Z28 and a 89 Iroc.

Long story short, I have a 01 z28 and a 89 Iroc . I want to build a bracket car out of the Iroc . Based on the cost of piecing parts together, I am just going to donate the entire 01 car to a good cause. I am using everything I possibly can. Wiring , gas tank/lines, brakes. Had fun with the 01 but came to realize I was just using it for its drivetrain. It's just plain ugly.

It will be a ls1/th350/strange s60 . Full suspension, caged. Already have everything except the th350. And I'll need a new spohn torque arm I believe. Or at least the body mount part of it.

I've read a quite few threads. Still have a few wiring questions. I plan to use the entire 4th gen harness to simplify wiring. Everything. Including the dash . The car will not have air so that part is simplified. Radio delete too. My Iroc and 01 both have power windows.

Will the 4th harness work on the 3rd
power window motors? Any tricks to that?

Also, I was looking at trunk latch. Has anyone made a 4th gen latch/release work on these cars? It would be cool if I could.

I read that the lights could be made to work by switching a few around and using the 3rds light sockets soldered onto the harness.

Anything else I might run into? Thanks in advance.

 

Ok I was able to find the answer to the latch question by searching some more.

I still debating which way to go for wiring . I may just follow Pocket's guide and do my own harness and leave my body harness intact.
