4th gen y-pipe on 3rd gen
So i'm running stock manifolds from a 2001 LS1, and i'm wondering if this walker y pipe will fit without issue?

Short answer, No. Could you cut parts of it for the flanges you need for the manifolds..sure but really its probably cheaper to just have an exhaust shop make you a custom y pipe with good ground clearance cheap and relatively quick job.

Thanks for the response. If i were to run this pipe, what kind of fitment issues would i have? something a hammer and some muscle could overcome?
How much did it cost you for your y-pipe without the cats?

It doesnt fit our cars at all.If you searched the forums you will see people have tried and the floor design between the generations wont allow you to use much from that kit. There are no factory y pipes that will bolt on our cars with an ls swap motor. It must be fabricated.Call your local exhaust shop and get a quote.prices vary everywhere.

You want to get the flanges from the 4th Gen Cats, where they mount to the manifolds.
Then my exhaust guy fabed from there, back to the 3" pipe that went to my Flowmaster.
He did a really nice job. Got it tight in there. Put bullet cats, after the 2002 exhaust manifolds. Then Hawk's tranny mount (with angles for ex clearance), a 2 1/2" into 3" Y-pipe. All tucks close to trans and driveshaft.
Has slip joints, so it can be removed for access to transmission and clutch.
All in all, not an easy job, but worth putting thought and work into.
Good luck.

Thanks, I did some searching and found a bunch of threads about headers and their respective y-pipes, but came up dry for manifolds. I guess i'll call some exhaust shops around here and see what i can come up with.
On a more positive note, I finally got to start it up for the first time yesterday! Sounds great on open manifolds and a big cam

Its not hard to make up a flange for the manifolds if you got steel plate and a drill with a hole saw and a welder.
Glad to hear its running..a big cam and stock manifolds should sound nice.
