piecing together an accessory drive

My LS swap for my 84 trans am slowly continues. I have an lc9 5.3L truck engine. It had low miles, but it was basically an engine block when I bought it. I've got an f body oil pan installed. I got the dod and vvt delete kits installed along with new valve springs and a new cam. And now, it's time for the accessory drive. I have searched this board and ls1tech. Affordable LS1 F-body accessory drives from ebay, craigslist, or ls1tech are a thing of the past. I'm going to buy mine piece by piece. So, take a look at my list and feel free to offer advice. Again, it's all f-body ls1 part. I won't list the various bolts that I'll also have to buy.

Harmonic balancer from rock auto - done $50

Alternator front bracket 12563327
Alternator rear bracket 12556915
Idler pulley on front alternator bracket 12564401

Belt tensioner on water pump 12560344

Power steering main bracket (dirty dingo)
Power steering front brace

Kwik LSX A/C bracket for Sanden Compressor - $200

--------------------------
Most brackets are sold individually on ebay. I haven't found much on this board concerning the kwik a/c bracket for mounting on the upper passenger side. Looks like someone used a similar bracket on an '89 GTA LS swap.

Re: piecing together an accessory drive

I bought my entire accessory drive from rockauto, and i have ALOT of magnets to show for it. The dirty dingo bracket is a nice piece, i picked mine up from ebay. Fits great and looks awesome.
From rock auto i picked up my alternator, ac compressor, water pump, belt tensioner, ps pump, dorman crank pulley/balancer. I got all my bolts off ebay, for my intake, injectors, headers, and accessory drive. I picked up my ac bracket/idler from ebay also. Your not going to need that tho if your running the other compressor. Not sure about what the power steering front brace is. Im justing running the dirty dingo bracket and everything is nice and secure.

I picked one up for my LS1/T56 swap, but ended up notching the K-member for the factory compressor instead.

I still have it, in case I ever decide to put AC back in the LS1/4L60E car (didn't notch that K-member).

Re: piecing together an accessory drive

Thanks - I just wanted to make sure I was on the right track. This is going to be a 2 or 3 year project. I've got time to shop ebay and craigslist for good deals. The LS1 parts market is like a thanksgiving turkey that's been picked clean! I had to get an LT1 T56 and then have it rebuilt LS style.

Re: piecing together an accessory drive

Rock Auto purchases:
alternator, power steering pump, water pump, belt tensioner, harmonic balancer - $365

Ebay purchases:
Power steering front brace - $13
Dirty Dingo Power steering bracket - $48
Alternator low mount bracket with pulley (complete kit) - $180
Kwik Performance A/C bracket high mount for Sanden - $197

I still have to get a Sanden compressor and maybe a few bolts. So far, the cost is $803. I probably could have done better on the Alternator brackets.
