LT1 rebuild

So I bought a non running 95 Formula Firebird hoping to use the engine in my 89 and surprisingly it needs a rebuild. Since I'm going to have it out I think i'm going to bore .030 over and stroke to 383. Because I've never done anything but stock rebuilds I need some help choosing what parts to buy. This car is driven as one of my primary vehicles so whatever build I go with needs to be streetable. Thanks for the help guys!

It doesn't run and you're surprised it needs a rebuild?

What exactly about it needs rebuilding?

For a primary transportation vehicle, I'm not sure I'd go to the expense of a stroker crank. If it needs to be overbored (and I'd need to be convinced of that), hypereutectic pistons would be fine. Stock rods with upgraded rod bolts will take a lot of punishment. A cam, good exhaust, and tune make these engines run great.

Re: LT1 rebuild

It's one of my primary vehicles, and the stroker crank isn't actually that much more than a good crank anyways. The only reason I was thinking of overboring is because I pro
bably need to machine it anyways and figured I may as well have it bored while i'm at it.
