LS swap questions
Alright I'm finally doing the swap. Tired of Mr Tpiterror nagging at me to do the swap. Going to be boosted and aiming for 800+Rwhp. Will more than likely be E85 or Flexfuel. My questions are can I modify my harness to work with my factory gauges. I have a ZL1 harness that will need to be modified. Or I can get a harness made. Not sure which is a better choice. Second question are Hawks my only option for stainless headers and should I go 1 7/8 or 2"? Thanks for the help and looking forward to the results.
BTW here are my options that I have at the moment. Blower should be here by thurs or Friday. Going with a baby procharger F1A
Engine
417 10.2:1
377 9.7:1 ?
Trans
4L80E
MN12 T56?

Re: LS swap questions
For an 87 camaro, all gauges will work fine except speedo. You will need a cable driver box like Cable X or switch to an electric gauge
Start with a harness matching your engine family. ZL1 harness is gen IV, which is a newer PCM and DBW only. If your stroker combos are based on Gen IV blocks with 58x cranks, use that harness. Beware, some newer PCMs cannot control the 4L80E
If you're interested in one stop shopping, shoot me a PM. Im going to let go of my swap combo. 625rwhp with lots of room to grow. Engine, trans, axle, fuel system, meth system, harness, tuned PCM, tubular suspension, big brakes, the works

Yea both engines are Gen IV 58X. So I still need to get the pedal set up for it. I also have an LY6/4L80E harness which the TCM controls the 4L80E. I was considering using that harness if I decide on the 80 direction.
Sent you a PM. Yes I'm going to be needing lots of parts. Thanks again
