5.3 swap fuel system

I've got a 5.3 going in my 84 camaro everything is almost done but I'm at a stand still on the fuel system! I'm running the stock 5.3 fuel rail with a 98 trans am metal ls1 fuel tank and pump! My question is how would I go about hooking it up? Can I just run fuel hose straight from the tank to the rail? Is there a return line on the stock 5.3 rail? I'm at a complete stand still on this one? Can someone please help me asap? Another thing is the pump has 4 hose connectors can I just block the rest and just use the feed and return lines? Do I need to use the charcoal canister?

Re: 5.3 swap fuel system

Assuming you have a solution for hood clearance on the 5.3 intake, truck rails come in two styles: return and returnless

Return is just like your stock fuel system, so youd need to build lines from the frame rail to the fuel rails. Its just as simple to replace your 30 y/o hardlines with 100% braided and go direct from the tank to fuel rails

Fittings to the tank vary. If its thread on, use the same an EFI 3rd gen would use, if its push connect, check out russell

3rd and 4th gen tanks have 4 fuel lines. Feed (3/8) return (5/16) vent and evap. Evap can be capped, the vent should have a vent valve on the end. If this line is capped, a vented gas cap is required

Charcoal canister is not required
