4l80e 2wd/4wd questions

I'm doing a 6.0 lq4 swap and the engine and trans I'm looking to buy was out of a 4x4. Just wondering if that will make any difference since it will obviously be 2wd. Stupid question, I know, but better safe than sorry. Thanks.

Re: 4l80e 2wd/4wd questions

1) Post in the LSx/LT1 section

2) Skip it unless you know how to rebuild a trans. To convert a 4WD trans to 2WD, it needs the output shaft swapped which requires a complete teardown

It's there now.

The output shaft is the first thing put in the case, if that gives you any idea of what's required to convert. Usually easier/cheaper to trade for a 2wd tranny.
