lsx thirgen intake clearence

looking for info on intake to cowl clearence want to know how much room ill have to play with, intake wise the intake im looking to purchase is 3'' taller than the stock ls2 intake

You can get away with alot. The biggest issue is the front of the intake where the hood sloops down. I had a Edelbrock Pro Flo on my ls1. I have a SS hood and the TB barley cleared. I could see the TB opening through the screen on my hood.

Camaros have a bit more freedom as well since birds have a steeper slope on the hood. I had a RAII hood with my SC and still had to notch it. Measured from the top of the block to top of SC lid, it was 10", Pro-flo is the same height, so it'd require a notch as well for birds
