LS in a 91 Z28 header question

I have read arguments back and forth on having the headers installed on the engine before dropping in the bay vs adding them after. I am getting ready to drop mine in and I just want to know which one will cause the least amount of headaches!

Thanks for the help!

Re: LS in a 91 Z28 header question

I went headers on (stock F-bodys), but the only way my engine (LS1/4l60E) will go in the bay is if I drop the car on the engine.

Re: LS in a 91 Z28 header question

I dropped my engine in without manifolds/headers. I know how tight of a fit it was to install my long tubes (at least on passenger side). To be honest I don't think I'd drop it in with exhaust but that's just me. Other than that mine went in nice and easy.
