funky gas gauge issue
Anyone on here ever have a gas gauge hang up in one area of the gauge? My gas gauge goes from 2 lines below the 3/4 mark before putting 11 gallons in to just over the 3rd line above 3/4 when full.

My gauge will do strange things, but it's due to the shot sending unit. Maybe check that if you haven't replaced it already.

And that is one thing I didn't do before I installed the tank. Weird part is that no matter where you move the needle to on the gauge, it always returns to the same spot.

Hm, yeah that sounds like the float on the unit getting hung or something similar. It could be the gauge going bad, but I've never seen that happen (not saying that it doesn't though).
Mine will work normally from full to 3/4, then it will drop to 1/4 tank until you get to about 1/2 a tank, then it will hang at 1/2 until you get to 1/4, THEN it works normally from 1/4 to E. yay 32 year old electronics lol. In a way it's kind of tempting to leave it that way, gives the car a bit of character, haha.

Ya that is weird. I guess as long as you know it does it, its OK. It just annoys me because my Dad and I soldered the new resistors in trying to get the gauge to work, and it still moves about as much as it did when it read 0-90 ohm just in a different spot.
