Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
Still waiting on my parts. It has been almost 2 months since they took my money. I have been checking the holley web site daily. The availability date on the crossmember changes daily. I have seen dates ranging from 11/23 to 12/7. Trying to get ahold of holley customer service is almost impossible. The only number on their web site is tech support. I have sat on hold for extended periods of time. When I did get in touch with someone I had them transfer me to customer service. I was told about 2 1/2 weeks ago that my pipes were awaiting shipment. Still haven't received anything. Apparently all that they manufactured were the headers. I assume that they thought that would be the first thing that people would want. Most of us are way past that point in our builds. I am still hoping to get my car on the road by years end. All I am need of is exhaust, and a tune.

Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
Don't call the tech line. Call their business line at headquarters and ask for information on an order. You will be transferred to a nice lady that will help you. Easy as pie.
Honestly, no amount of calling is going to change anything. Just sit and wait, or get your money back.

Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
I'm seriously considering buying this set up... so I want to get a few things straight before ordering.
for me to use this kit I need the following:
1. Hooker Blackheart Header-Back Exhaust Kit
Part # 70501439-RHKR
2. Hooker Engine Mounting Brackets
Part # 71221003HKR
3. Hooker Transmission Crossmember
Part # 71222005HKR
4. Hooker Black Heart Headers
Part # 70101315-RHKR
5. Holley 302-2 oil pan
Is there anything else needed to run this set up?
Also can you not just notch the k member instead of the oil pan? Just curious as it would be great to just use my factory 4th gen pan.

They offer the system with their pan for the "I don't want to modify anything" crowd. Apparently they think the market supports that - maybe.
If you can notch the K-member yourself, you can save a few hundred bucks using your existing 4th gen LS1 pan.
Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
I figured as much. I'm waiting on the Holley rep. over at ls1tech to clarify when everything will start shipping out...

Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
I got excited the other day. Finally got an email from Holley stating that my order had shipped. Turns out that the only part that shipped is the transmission adapter plate, that bolts to the crossmember. Checked the tracking on the part and it gave me a Mississippi point of entry into the USA. I am assuming the biggest reason for the delay is that the parts manufacturing was out sourced overseas. I spoke with a Holley rep about a month ago and was told that my pipes were ready for shipment. Still haven't received them.

I called Holley customer service today to inquire about the trans crossmember because we're many weeks past the date I was given last time. They had just gotten an update on it from supplier and the new date is moved out another month to January 8.

I received the exhaust pipe kit yesterday. All that I am lacking now is the crossmember.

I went ahead and ordered the full set up. I'll post pictures as I get things in.

Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
I ordered the exhaust kit. Cant decide which headers to get. 1&7/8" or the 1&3/4".
Also, does anyone know how this system will work with aftermarket tubular k members ?

Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
The 1 3/4" cost $809.
To me its a no brainier... I went with the 1 7/8". It's only a $90 difference, and to me its absolutely worth the extra HP potential.
Just as a reminder, the sale ends on the 31st this thursday. So you only have two days to make up your mind before the price goes up another $200 per headers design.

Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
The 1 7/8" headers don't have clearance issues according to the buyers on the ls1tech thread. A couple of people have installed them without issue, and posted pictures showing how well they fit.
buy whatever you feel is best for your set up.

Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
Nice, looks to be typical of the fine quality you get from Hooker.
Re: Finally: Holley to produce LT and True Dual System
Yes. According to Holley, both of the headers sizes are made from 304. it's just the dual exhaust kit that you have an option between 409 & 304.
Definitely. I cant wait to get these installed, I want to see how they fit for my self. According to the pictures from other buyers over on ls1tech they should fit excellent!

Just checked the thread on LS1 Tech. According to the post from the Hooker engineer, posted on 1/4, the first run of crossmembers have been sandblasted. Next step is powdercoating. Hopefully they will be shipping soon. Project has been on hold for almost 3 months.

Just about done installing mine.I only ordered the exh, since I need to run cats.Even w/ mods to the mid pipes, it was still an easy job.I only cussed three times!Fitment is excellent.

Awesome, pictures are appreciated! Does your modifications with the added cats make your exhaust hang any lower than the kit initially intended? Just curious.

I doubt it.I made sure to tuck it up really close to the floorboards. My secondary cats are the lowest point on the exhaust.

They look good. Would have been nice if the tips were a double wall stainless, more like the Corsa style tips, but they honestly don't look bad at all. I'm typically not a fan of the "quad tip" look on Camaros. Hmmmmm.....

Good indication the trans crossmember will end up being a drop-in for anybody.

Does the trans crossmember come with a bushing for the tq arm?
I'm thinking it might be the one for me to buy to get the tq arm off the back of the trans
