my convertible ls1 swap

I have been working on redoing my 91 convertible for the last 4 years, mostly body work and rust repair until this year. I finally picked up a 99 Camaro z28 with an ls1 t56 set up as my donor car. I pulled the motor and tranny and have torn down the ls1 for rebuild. Going to upgrade the bottom end and do a cam, heads and intake while im at it. If anyone has suggestions on a good street cam I am all ears. There are some pics of body work and repair as well, but it will become mostly about the ls1 t56 swap, just wanted to provide a starting reference for the thread.

Here are some picks of the work I have done so far. The rear quarter was so badly damaged and dented that I had to remove it and replace it with a donor. I will never do it again, it was such a labor intensive job but overall I am happy with it. I also created a custom sheet metal spoiler because I didn't like the original plastic/urethane one and half the mounting points were cracked or broken.

the bottom picture was a rust repair, I had to cut out about 2 feet worth of bad metal and replace it. the top picture is the bottom radiator support that was rusting. I wire wheeled it and primed it then undercoated it.

Driver floor pan repair, another time consuming rust repair. If I were to do it again, I would have spent a little more time on the welds and making sure the repair panel fit a little better, but after seam sealing and 3m undercoating the entire interior its held up for the last 2 years without issue.
