Lt1 top mount a/c compressor
I am working on my 88 s/c Lt1 swap and I want to change the a/c compressor to the top and the alt on the bottom. I made some brackets and have it installed,I ran it on a stand that I made. I believe it will clear the frame when installed in the car. What are your thoughts guys?

Looks like the alternator will hit the K-member.

Re: Lt1 top mount a/c compressor
I have not installed it in the car yet,but it should fit. It will be close to the frame/body rail, but it should clear the k-member. If this clears it will be better and easier vs the top Alt/bottom A/C and be able to use the factory A/C comp and lines and Alt.

Do you have any in progress fab pics such that another shadetree fab guy could follow? Might save a bunch of trial and error.
