My GTA now has an LQ4 :-)

Hey folks.

I got my car back. The swap was done by Larry's Speed and Custom in Fort Worth, and man... it's like a whole new car. Fresh rebuilt 4l80e, LQ4 with an LS1 intake manifold, Mid length headers from BRP hot rod, LSSimple alternator bracket, some other cool bits.

I added the ICT coil brackets and masked off the coils and hit them with a few coats of red high temp.

Today I added single retractor seat belts and raised the exhaust tips a bit.

Eventually I plan to do some interior work. it's pretty decent now, but the usual suspects are deteriorating (rear seat sun damage, little bit of peeling back of the cloth on the door panel. Plastic window trim cracks.

I may be swapping in a fourth gen console since mine is in bad shape. Going to take a look at a donor car this weekend that still has the console.

Nice 'bird looks like a nice swap. Any dyno numbers? I'm working on my Z28 with an LQ9.

No dyno numbers yet. I want to take it and get a run done at some point. The butt dyno feels like it has 100hp over what was in it. It's a completely different car

AC compressor is a sanden. Appears the bracket came from "old Air"

The alternator bracket is LSSimple. K-member is stock, transmission crossmember is Holley's

Very nice. Thanks. I'll have to look into that AC bracket.
