305 tpi to 350 Lt1

Hi there, i've read some off the swap forum for tpi to lt1 and it seem like the only real probleme is the a-c and the fuel pump when u change everything.

For awsering the following question u have to keep in mind that i alerdy have a donor car (93 camaro lt1) without the gearbox which was a t-56. My recever car is a f... clean 87 Trans am Ws6 with a auto transmission.

My question: Can i keep the tpi intake and wiring and computer et but them on top off a lt1 93 engine?? I know i will probably need bigger injector for the tpi system and mabye a 350tpi computer card ....

So what do u think?

Im not looking for 3000million hp, i want to keep the stock tpi look but since a already have a healty 350 laying around better but the 350 in then build the 305

Well for lt1 swap questions there is a whole forum under common lt1 swap questions. But you want a 93 lt1 long block with a tpi intake. Remember the opti spark hole will need to be covered on the front for a Hei distributer on top. The lt1 cam has the gear for it, so you have that going for you. A stock 93 lt1 has 22lb injectors, so need at least them. Why keep the tpi, change over to a lt1 swap, higher stock hp and torque. Great reverse flow cooling for heads first lets you run higher compression on pump gas.

Im with hyper on this. Swap the entire thing. One thing to consider. 93 is kind of a bastard child. It has the earlier style electronics, that means you have to burn an actual chip to tune it. It also has a speed density only system. And it has the last version of the 700r4

I started with a 93 and switched the electrics to a 94. 94-95 has a maf system, 4l60e, and can be tuned much easier. I used my 4l60 (700r4), you just have to delete the tranny info on the ecu and get a lockup controller.

That's exactly what I did, 93 lt1 to 94 standalone harness, way easier to custome tune. 94 goes up 24 lb injectors, just saying do your reasearch

Re: 305 tpi to 350 Lt1

That wasent my question, I already own a 94 z28 whit a t56 cam head header msd exaut.... and a 4.10. I dont see the point of having two similar setup. Im looking to keep KEEEP the tpi intake because i like them ( No need of 300hp). So is it doable???

1, the ac delete,
2. distributor relocation
3. Stock manifold or headers?

I was going to rebuild the 305 and cam it but since i already have a 93 lt1 laying around ..... its already stronger than a 305
